Streaking Brewers Beat Reds 13-3

(AP Photo/Morry Gash)MILWAUKEE (AP) - Lyle Overbay had a career-high five hits, including a three-run homer, and Doug Davis pitched a five-hitter to lead the Milwaukee Brewers over the Cincinnati Reds 13-3 Sunday for their fourth straight win.

Overbay, who homered twice Friday, has a nine-game hitting streak and 17 hits in his last 34 at-bats. Milwaukee, which entered with a .231 batting average, 15th among the 16 NL teams, had its most runs and hits (19) since June 27, 2003, at Minnesota.

Brady Clark had four hits for the Brewers, who swept a series for the first time since July and are on their longest winning streak since taking five in a row last June 26-July 1, 2004. Cincinnati was swept in Milwaukee for the first time since Miller Park's opening series in April 2001.
