TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - New York Yankees pitcher Tanyon Sturtze felt fine after a rehab start Monday for Class-A Tampa.
"I am ready to go," said Sturtze, placed on the 15-day disabled list April 18 with a strained left oblique muscle. "I was throwing strikes. I just wanted to get out there, throw the baseball and stretch it out."
Facing Dunedin in the Florida State League, the right-hander made 40 pitches 28 for strikes and struck out three. He allowed two runs on fours hits in his second rehab assignment for Tampa.
