Iti to Leave Charlotte After Two Seasons

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Martin Iti, the 7-foot center who entered Charlotte's program with high expectations, said Tuesday he was leaving the 49ers after two disappointing seasons.

"I enjoyed my time and had a good experience," Iti said. "Things just didn't work out."

Iti started 27 of 29 games for Charlotte last season and averaged 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds. He led the 49ers with 48 blocked shots and 38 dunks.
