SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Ryan Church hit a tiebreaking, bases-clearing double in the ninth inning and finished with career highs of four hits and four RBIs, and the Washington Nationals sent the San Francisco Giants to their season-worst fourth straight loss with an 11-8 win Saturday.
The Nationals tied it in the ninth against Jeremy Accardo (0-1), called up from Double-A Norwich on Monday as the Giants try to make do without injured closer Armando Benitez.
Pinch-hitter Jeffrey Hammonds drew a walk to start the inning, then advanced on a wild pitch. He went to third on Jose Guillen's groundout and scored on Brad Wilkerson's second sacrifice fly of the game.
