 ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Detroit Tigers closer Troy Percival was put on the 15-day disabled list Monday with an apparent forearm injury that will require rest but not surgery.
Percival was in obvious pain after pitching the ninth inning for a save Saturday night against his former team, the Los Angeles Angels.
Manager Alan Trammell said Percival "did something prior, warming up in the bullpen." He expects the pitcher to be out four to six weeks.
