Bellamy Road is washed down after a morning exercise at Churchill Downs, Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Louisville, Ky. Bellamy Road, the beaten Kentucky Derby favorite owned by Yankees boss George Steinbrenner, is off the Triple Crown trail with a minor injury to his left front leg, trainer Nick Zito told the Web sites of The Daily Racing Form and The Blood-Horse, Tuesday May 10, 2005. (AP Photo/Amy Sancetta)NEW YORK (AP) - The past few days have not been good for Nick Zito and Bellamy Road, his Kentucky Derby favorite. The next few weeks won't amount to much, either.

First, Bellamy Road finished seventh in Saturday's Derby, and Zito's other four entries fared no better: Andromeda's Hero was eighth; High Fly was 10th; Noble Causeway was 14th; and Sun King was 15th.

On Tuesday, Bellamy Road — owned by New York Yankees boss George Steinbrenner — was sidelined by a minor foot injury and taken off the Triple Crown trail.
