FALMOUTH, Mass. (AP) - A woman at the center of a family legal dispute that was due to go to trial next week was found shot to death in the garage of her Cape Cod home.
The body of Shirley M. Reine, 51, owner of a trash collection company that is the subject of the legal battle, was discovered early Tuesday by a family member.
"When the police arrived, they found Shirley Reine ... deceased in her garage adjacent to her car," said Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe. He declined to discuss a possible motive.
