TOKYO (AP) - The dollar rose against the euro, yen and other Asian currencies Wednesday morning amid strong U.S. economic data and receding expectations of the Chinese yuan's revaluation.
The dollar was trading at 107.55 yen Wednesday morning in Tokyo, up 0.37 yen from late Tuesday and above the 107.41 yen it bought in New York later that day. The euro fell to $1.2599 from $1.2627 late Tuesday but rose to 135.35 yen from 135.30 yen.
In New York, the British pound rose to $1.8365 from $1.8376, while the dollar traded at 1.2237 Swiss francs, up from 1.2217, and 1.2653 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2700.
