ATLANTA (AP) - Pitching on three days' rest for the first time in a regular season game, Tim Hudson threw eight shutout innings to lift the Atlanta Braves past former teammate Tom Glavine and the New York Mets 4-0 on Tuesday night.
Johnny Estrada had three hits for the Braves, who led 1-0 before scoring three runs off Glavine (3-5) in the seventh inning.
Hudson (5-3) had to pitch through jams early, stranding seven baserunners in the first four innings. But Hudson allowed only one hit over his last four innings. He allowed six hits and two walks and struck out three.
