Dragulescu, Ponor Defend European Titles

(AP Photo / Bela Szandelszky)DEBRECEN, Hungary (AP) - Romanians Marian Dragulescu and Catalina Ponor were the only defending champions to win titles Sunday at the European Individual Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Dragulescu, a silver medalist at the Athens Olympics, won the men's floors, his sixth European title in the event. Romania's Razvan Dorin Selariu was second, with Hungary's Robert Gal third.

Hungary's Krisztian Berki recorded the competition's highest score on the pommel horse — 9.775 points — to win the title. He beat Romania's Marius Urzica — a former Olympic, world and European champion — and Russia's Nikolai Kryukov.
