LONDON (AP) - Three-time defending champion Germany survived a tough match at the European Women's Championship on Monday, getting a second-half goal from Conny Pohlers to beat Denmark 1-0.
In the day's other Group B match, Marinette Pinchon scored two goals to lead France over Italy 3-1.
The top two teams in each group advance to the semifinals. The final is scheduled for June 19 in Blackburn.
