TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - New York Yankees pitcher Jaret Wright increased his throwing distance Monday as part of a rehabilitation program for his injured right shoulder.
Wright threw from 90 feet during his fourth session over eight days at the Yankees spring training complex. He could be ready to work off a bullpen mound sometime in the next week or two. The right-hander played catch three times last week at 60 feet.
Wright was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 24, one day after leaving his start against the Texas Rangers because of pain in his shoulder.
