CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The Charlotte Sting activated rookie forward Janel McCarville off the injured list Sunday before their game against Seattle.
McCarville, the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft, had missed the past five games with a lower back sprain. She was injured in Charlotte's second game against Indiana on May 22, after playing 25 minutes and finishing with two points and six rebounds in a season-opening loss to Washington.
The Sting expect McCarville, an All-American at Minnesota, to help boost the league's worst offense. Charlotte is averaging just 60.8 points.
