LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar slipped against the euro, but was stronger against most other major currencies in European trading Wednesday. Gold prices rose.
The euro was quoted at $1.2126, down from $1.2153 late Tuesday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro climbed to $1.2131.
Other dollar rates compared with Tuesday included 108.75 Japanese yen, up from 108.30; 1.2708 Swiss francs, up from 1.2676; and 1.2354 Canadian dollars, up from 1.2303.
