Nerves Nearly Get Better of Kuznetsova

The U.S. Open champion overcame her anxiety Wednesday to beat 18-year-old Sania Mirza of India 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-4 in the second round.

"It wasn't my day at all," the fifth-seeded Kuznetsova said. "I couldn't move. I was so tense that my nerves just got me today. I just couldn't think properly.
