DOETINCHEM, Netherlands (AP) - In soccer, tradition holds even among the young.
Brazil and Germany meet in one quarterfinal at the World Youth Championship, with Italy playing in Friday's second game. Saturday's games Argentina-Spain and the Netherlands-Nigeria serve only to reinforce the power of the old guard.
With the 24-team field cut to eight, only Morocco is a true surprise among the survivors. It plays Italy in a game certain to be overshadowed by Brazil and Germany in an under-20 replay of the 2002 World Cup final, which the South Americans won 2-0.
