LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mostly down against other major currencies in European trading Friday. Gold rose.
The euro was quoted at $1.2086, up from $1.2033 Thursday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro obtained $1.2082.
Other dollar rates compared with late Thursday included 109.29 Japanese yen, up from 108.83; 1.2747 Swiss francs, down from 1.2794; and 1.2332 Canadian dollars, up from 1.2327.
