ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Garret Anderson hit a two-run double in the eighth to drive in the go-ahead runs and give him 1,000 RBIs in his career, lifting the Los Angeles Angels to a 5-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday and a sweep of the three-game interleague series.
The win extended the Angels' winning streak to a season-high six games and moved them 6 1/2 games ahead of second-place Texas in the AL West.
The Angels beat the Dodgers in five of their six games this season and have won 12 of the past 16 meetings between the teams. The injury-ravaged Dodgers went 2-11 on a 13-game road trip and fell 6 1/2 games behind the NL West-leading San Diego Padres.
