 CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Costa Rican national Gonzalo Segares scored his first MLS goal to give the Chicago Fire a 1-0 victory over Chivas USA on Saturday night.
The former Club Deportivo Saprissa star's goal came in the 78th minute off a Jim Curtin cross from the left flank.
Earlier, Chivas USA rookie goalkeeper Brad Guzan appeared to have saved Chivas USA from it's 13th loss of the season by stopping Jesse Marsch's penalty kick that came as a result of a Francisco Gomez handball in the 69th minute.
