TOKYO (AP) - The dollar was higher against the yen and other regional currencies in Asian trading Friday morning as investors reacted calmly to the blasts on mass transit systems in London the day before.
The dollar was trading at 112.36 yen Friday morning, up 0.31 yen from late Thursday and above the 112 yen it bought in New York later that day. The euro was unchanged from late Thursday in Tokyo at $1.1934.
In New York Thursday, the dollar initially dropped but later made up most of its earlier losses after traders shrugged off concerns about the attacks in London, which killed at least 37 and injured some 700.
