LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar fell against other major currencies in European trading Tuesday. Gold prices rose.
The euro was quoted at $1.2170, up from $1.2072 late Monday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro acquired $1.2195.
Other dollar rates compared with late Monday included 110.87 Japanese yen, down from 111.88; 1.2790 Swiss francs, down from 1.2871; and 1.2049 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2140.
