TOKYO (AP) - The dollar rose moderately in Wednesday morning trading in Asia from earlier levels, regaining some of its losses as the market awaited the release of U.S. trade deficit data later in the day.
The dollar was trading at 111.10 yen late morning, down 0.06 yen from late Tuesday in Tokyo but above the 110.87 yen it bought in New York later that day. The euro rose to $1.2213 from $1.2182 late Tuesday in Tokyo
In New York Tuesday, the dollar slid against most major currencies as traders continued to sell the currency to reduce their exposure to U.S. trade deficit data set for release later in the day.
