Sales Leads Sun Past Sting 73-63

(AP) - Nykesha Sales had 21 points and eight rebounds, and sparked a 19-4 run surge in the second half to lead the Connecticut Sun to a 73-63 victory Friday night over the Charlotte Sting.

The Sun (16-5) remain perfect at home, winning all eight games this season at the Mohegan Sun Arena. They are 13-0 at home since closing out last season with five straight wins.

The woes continue for the Sting (3-17), 0-9 on the road. Dawn Staley led Charlotte with 15 points. Tammy Sutton-Brown and Tangela Smith added 12 points apiece, and Sutton-Brown had 11 rebounds.
