SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - Truck drivers ended a three-day strike Friday that paralyzed gasoline deliveries, causing motorists to form huge lines at gas stations.
The truckers agreed to end the strike without obtaining government guarantees of pay raises they had demanded. Spokesmen for the drivers said they would return to the job immediately.
The Public Service Commission agreed to hold hearings in a month to consider the truck drivers' demands for a 30 percent raise in government-set payments for deliveries.
