 UMAG, Croatia (AP) - Second-seeded Guillermo Coria ousted Juan Carlos Ferrero 6-3, 6-0 Friday to advance to the semifinals of the Croatia Open.
The former French Open champion provided some resistance in the opening set, but began to crumble after Coria won several key rallies with superb footwork and blistering passing shots.
A finalist at two ATP Masters Series events this year, Coria broke at 3-3 and 5-3 to take the first set. He won 10 straight games to wrap up the match.
