SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle center fielder Jeremy Reed left the Mariners' game against the Cleveland Indians on Friday night with a mild concussion.
Reed crashed into the center-field wall in the top of the fourth inning trying to track down a drive by Cleveland's Grady Sizemore. The ball hit the palm of Reed's glove, but bounced out after he hit the wall. Sizemore was credited with a triple.
Reed finished the inning and lined out to third to lead off the bottom of the fourth, but was replaced by Willie Bloomquist to start the fifth.
