DALLAS (AP) - Although Roger Staubach considers being in the Pro Football Hall of Fame the greatest honor of his career, he's rarely able to go to Canton to personally welcome the newest members of the club. He'll be there this weekend, though, for several good reasons.
His fun was to begin Friday in Cincinnati at a get-together with several of his high school teammates. Then he was headed 200 miles across Ohio to Canton for festivities Saturday and Sunday.
The main event will be special for Staubach because the marquee honorees are Dan Marino and Steve Young, two quarterbacks he's long admired. The extra tie-in is that this is the 20th anniversary of his own induction, when he was part of an impressive group that included Joe Namath, Pete Rozelle and O.J. Simpson.
