LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was lower against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday. Gold prices rose.
The euro was quoted at $1.2386 in late European trading, up from $1.2366 late Tuesday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro traded at $1.2356.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared to late Tuesday, included 110.43 Japanese yen, down from 111.96; 1.2561 Swiss francs, down from 1.2596; and 1.2125 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2129.
