PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - As soon as he hit the field, cornerback Antrel Rolle showed his wit belongs on the next level. Now, he has to show the same about his pass coverage.
"I told them I was on the beach," Rolle said Wednesday about the ribbing he got from teammates before his first training-camp practice with the Arizona Cardinals. "Guys were welcoming me back. They're glad to have me back; I'm glad to be here, and so it's a work in progress."
The previous day, the first-round draft pick signed a six-year, $43 million contract that includes $13.6 million in guaranteed money, ending a holdout that lasted into the second week of training camp.
