LOS ANGELES (AP) - Aaron Miles and Matt Holliday hit run-scoring doubles in the eighth to snap a scoreless tie, and the Colorado Rockies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 Wednesday night for their 15th road victory of the season.
Pinch hitter Cory Sullivan hit a one-out double before Miles sliced a pitch from Steve Schmoll (4-3) down the left field line to put the Rockies ahead. Holliday also went the opposite way, hitting a liner down the right field line off Yhency Brazoban with two outs to drive in Miles with what proved to be the deciding run.
Sullivan was batting for Randy Williams (2-0), who relieved Byung-Hyun Kim with two outs and two on in the seventh and retired Oscar Robles on a grounder to second.
