NEW YORK (AP) - Long-dated U.S. Treasurys rose Thursday, bringing their yields very close to short-dated bonds.
Amid the light trading volumes that are typical to late summer trading action, the 10-year Treasury note was at 100 23/32, up 2/32, at 5 p.m. Its yield, which moves in the opposite direction, fell to 4.16 percent from 4.17 percent.
The 30-year bond was at 115 13/32, up 12/32. Its yield fell to 4.37 percent from 4.39 percent.
