Thursday, August 25, 2005 8:49:25 PM

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - A Burbank councilwoman pleaded not guilty Thursday to a felony charge of possession of cocaine and misdemeanor child endangerment.

Stacey Jo Murphy, 47, a former mayor of Burbank, was ordered to return to court Sept. 28, when a date will be set for a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence for her to stand trial.

Superior Court Judge Janice Croft released Murphy on her own recognizance. Bail had been set at $100,000.
