Nokia Names Oistamo to Head of Mobile Unit

HELSINKI, Finland (AP) - Nokia Corp., the world's largest cell phone maker, on Friday named company insider Kai Oistamo to succeed Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo as head of the mobile phones unit on Oct. 1.

The move coincides with the date on which Kallasvuo takes over as the president and chief operating officer.

Oistamo, 40, who heads the business line management of the mobile phones unit, joined Nokia in 1991. He will also be a member of the company's executive board, Nokia said.
