TOKYO (AP) - The dollar rose against the yen and euro Thursday morning in Asian trading on lower oil prices and renewed hopes for higher U.S. interest rates.
The dollar was trading at 110.28 yen in Tokyo late morning, up 0.61 yen from late Wednesday and above the 110.08 yen it bought in New York later that day. The euro fell to $1.2418 from $1.2506 late Wednesday.
The British pound was at $1.8368, down from $1.8421 late Tuesday. The dollar rose to 1.2417 Swiss francs from 1.2361, and to 1.1871 Canadian dollars from 1.1889.
