TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - An all-too-familiar woe has surfaced for the Arizona Cardinals one game into the season: The running game is lousy.
Arizona gained 32 yards in 21 carries in Sunday's 42-19 loss to the New York Giants. Lumbering Kurt Warner was the leading rusher with 11 yards in three attempts.
Immediately after the game, coach Dennis Green was testy and evasive when the subject was broached. By Monday, he was ready to state the obvious.
