LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar fell Tuesday against other major currencies in European trading. Gold prices rose in Europe.
The euro rose to $1.2308 from $1.2267 late Tuesday in New York. In midday trading in New York, the euro was quoted at $1.2283.
Other dollar rates compared with late rates Tuesday included: 110.07 Japanese yen, down from 110.70; 1.2553 Swiss francs, down from 1.2608, and 1.1805 Canadian dollars, down from 1.1807. The British pound rose to $1.8282 from $1.8219.
