JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - An Indonesian court on Thursday sentenced the last of six Muslim militants accused in the 2004 suicide bombing at the Australian Embassy to 10 years in prison for helping the alleged masterminds carry out the attack.
The verdict against Syaiful Bahri was met with shouts of "God is great!" by about a dozen of his supporters in the South Jakarta District Court. The 36-year-old unemployed man said he would appeal.
Judge Sucahyo Padmo said Bahri was guilty of "providing assistance" to fugitive Malaysians Azahari bin Husin and Noordin Mohamed Top by buying the chemicals used to make the bomb and finding the fugitives a rented room before the attack.
