MARATHON, Fla. (AP) - The Seven Mile Bridge leading into the lower Florida Keys was closed Monday by a fiery tanker crash that killed two drivers.
The truck transporting gasoline was traveling south on the bridge around 5 p.m when the driver lost control and collided with a sport utility vehicle, said Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Pat Santangelo.
The male drivers of the truck and the SUV died, while a female passenger in the SUV was air lifted to a hospital, Santangelo said.
