TOKYO (AP) - Honda is taking full control of the BAR-Honda Formula One racing team in a deal with founding owner British American Tobacco.
Tokyo-based Honda, who owns 45 percent of the team, said Tuesday that it is buying BAR's 55-percent stake.
Honda will complete the purchase by year's end and then conduct operations from its current base in Brackley, Britain, with Honda Racing Development Ltd., located in Berkshire. It didn't say how much it was paying.
