HOUSTON (AP) - El Paso Corp. Tuesday proposed a natural-gas pipeline project, the Continental Connector, to link its western pipelines, which bring supply from the Rocky Mountain and mid-continent regions, with its pipelines in the south and east, which serve the East Coast and the Midwest. The project would also provide a link to production in north and east Texas.
Houston-based El Paso said the project would involve the construction of more than 1,000 miles of up to 42-inch diameter pipeline to connect its Colorado Interstate, WIC, and Cheyenne Plains pipelines to its ANR Pipeline, Tennessee Gas Pipeline, and Southern Natural Gas systems.
El Paso anticipates the project could be in service as early as November 2008.
