 WASHINGTON (AP) - Jaime Moreno's penalty kick in the 75th minute left D.C. United and the Columbus Crew tied 2-2 Saturday night in the teams' MLS regular-season finale.
Crew goalkeeper Matt Jordan leaned left and Moreno shot to his right to remain perfect on nine penalty kicks this season for defending MLS Cup champion D.C. United (16-10-6). United will face Chicago in the conference semifinals.
The goal was Moreno's team-leading 16th of the season. However, he came up short in his bid for the MLS Golden Boot award as New England's Taylor Twellman scored his 17th goal Saturday night against the Fire.
