NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Rangers traded center Jamie Lundmark, a former first-round draft pick, to the Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday night for forward Jeff Taffe.
Lundmark, chosen by New York with the ninth overall pick in 1999, never lived up to his projected potential with the Rangers. After notching eight goals and 11 assists in 55 games during his rookie season of 2002-03, Lundmark missed 23 games the following season with a knee injury.
He had one goal this season but only got into three of New York's first seven games, sitting out the others as a healthy scratch by coach Tom Renney.
