TOKYO (AP) - The dollar recovered some of its overnight losses against the yen in Asian trading Thursday as investors stayed bullish about the dollar because of prospects for higher U.S. interest rates.
The dollar was trading at 115.64 yen in Tokyo afternoon trading, above the 115.31 yen it bought in New York late Wednesday. In Tokyo Wednesday, the dollar rose to a two-year high of 115.98 yen.
The euro rose to $1.1972 from $1.1896 late Wednesday.
