Thursday, October 20, 2005 2:36:13 PM

LOS ANGELES (AP) - "ER" star Noah Wyle played dad instead of doctor as he and his wife welcomed their second child, a girl.

The baby, weighing almost 7 1/2 pounds, was born in Los Angeles on Saturday to Wyle and wife Tracy, People magazine reported. The baby was named Auden, after the poet W.H. Auden.

"Mom and baby are doing great," Eddie Michaels, a spokesman for the actor, told the magazine. "Everyone is thrilled."
