ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - DonTrell Moore might not have become one of the best running backs in the country if his mother hadn't insisted he try different things while he was growing up.
The New Mexico senior enters the Lobos' game against Colorado State on Friday night needing 32 yards to become the sixth player in Division I history to rush for more than 1,000 in four straight seasons. He would join a short list that includes Tony Dorsett, Ron Dayne, Cedric Benson, Denvis Manns and Amos Lawrence.
His path to college football greatness started when Moore's mom, Angela, made sure he was an athlete for all seasons.
