 KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Steve Spurrier brought a different team to Tennessee and left with a familiar result. Josh Brown kicked a 49-yard field goal with 2:45 left and South Carolina held on to beat the No. 23 Volunteers 16-15 on Saturday night.
The Gamecocks (5-3, 3-3 Southeastern Conference) snapped a 12-game losing streak to Tennessee and won for the first time ever in Knoxville.
Their coach had won here plenty of times with the Florida Gators.
