WHEATON, Ill. (AP) - A man was charged Friday with murdering his parents, sister and brother-in-law, whose bodies were found in an upscale home in suburban Chicago.
Prosecutors said Eric C. Hanson stole tens of thousands of dollars from his parents by way of identity theft, credit card fraud and forgery, and killed his family because he was afraid of getting caught.
Hanson, 28, is accused of shooting his parents, Terrance and Mary Lynn Hanson, ages 57 and 55, and bludgeoning his sister, Katherine Hanson-Tsao, 31, and her husband, Jimmy Tsao, 34.
