JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - Former Indonesian dictator Suharto has been admitted to a hospital in the Indonesian capital for anemia due to intestinal bleeding, local media reported Saturday.
The 84-year-old Suharto's was rushed to the Pertamina hospital Friday, a day after receiving hundreds of visitors at his residence to celebrate the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, the Elshinta radio said.
Family doctors said he appeared to be suffering from anemia but he was recovering after receiving a blood transfusion, the station said.
