OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Mehmet Okur had 23 points and 14 rebounds, and the Utah Jazz capitalized on Baron Davis' absence in a 91-85 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
Okur scored 19 points in the second half and Matt Harpring added 15 points for the Jazz, who have two impressive season-opening victories despite playing without forward Carlos Boozer, who's nursing a strained hamstring. The Jazz won despite making just one field goal over the final 6:54 rookie Deron Williams' jumper with 4:43 to play.
Jason Richardson and Derek Fisher each scored 18 points for the Warriors, who were a bit lost without their starting point guard and charismatic team leader.
