HOUSTON (AP) - U.S. Concrete Inc. said earnings rose in the latest quarter as revenue climbed.
Shares of the Houston-based concrete products company surged on the news, rising 75 cents, or 11.7 percent, to $7.15 in afternoon trading Monday on the Nasdaq Stock Market. Earlier, it rose as high as $7.18, still below the 52-week high of $8.98.
U.S. Concrete said it earned $9 million, or 31 cents a share, on revenue of $172.3 million in the third quarter.
